About Ambezi

A company built around one idea.

We began with how Africa assesses its students because it's the problem we knew best. It won't be the last one we work on.

Our mission

At Ambezi, we build practical software for African institutions and businesses.

Built for Africa

We design around how African institutions and businesses really run, not how software made somewhere else assumes they do.

Built to last

If it can't cope at real scale, we don't ship it. Records are encrypted and safely stored from day one, not added as an afterthought.

AI where it helps

AI takes the repetitive work off people's hands. A person still sets the standard, and anything borderline goes back to a human.

Fixing the root cause

Many of the problems we care about won't go away with a new policy or a stern memo. They need better software.

Built for the long run

We ask one question about everything we ship: is this really better for the people who have to use it?
